Clay Pigeon ShootSouth Milford Cricket Club are hosting an Open Clay Pigeon Shoot on Sunday 1 March 2009 commencing at 10:30pm on Bramley's Field (Home Farm) off Low Street, Sherburn-in-Elmet. There will be four competitions open to entry on the day
The Novice event is for anyone to pay £5 and with the assistance of a qualified coach, and the loan of a shot gun, have the experience of shooting at up to ten targets. A prize will be awarded to the most improved entrant. The Four Man Team event to consist of 10 targets per stand at 5 stands. Entry price is £40 per team, entries for this competition may be made prior to the day of the event. The winning team with the highest total collective score will take the Trophy and a meal at the Swan Hotel, South Milford for four people. The Individual event is 50 bird sporting, entry to competition £15 (birds only £10), the winner will receive £50 or a day's shooting at Waplington Warren Shoot, second £25 and third £10. Pool Shoot, £3 entry, 15 birds, £100 prize kindly donated by Mytum & Selby. Shoot-offs as required for any of the prizes will take place at 3pm. Shot gun cartridges will be available for sale on production of a valid shotgun licence. Hot refreshments will be on sale. Please contact our president, Bryan Ransome for any further details.
